Applications are invited for Casual Ocean/Beach Lifeguards for the Shellharbour City Council controlled beaches for the 2025/2026 season.

The season will run from 27 September 2025 to 26 April 2026 on a roster covering various shifts from Monday to Sunday.  

The role:

You will provide high quality patrol services across Shellharbour City's controlled beaches for the 2025/2026 season and will be responsible for a wide range of duties including;

• Supervision of beach customers
• Identification of suitable swimming and surf craft areas
• Recognise and respond to aquatic emergencies
• Carrying out cleaning and maintenance reporting tasks in order to present the beach and immediate surrounds in a clean and tidy conditions
• Presenting beach/ocean awareness programs as required
• Supervision of other Beach Lifeguard staff

• This position requires a current "Working with Children Check" clearance in accordance with the 'Child Protection (WWC) Act 2012 for Paid workers
• You will need to complete a Pre-placement Medical Assessment
