Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring a safe environment? Peninsula Leisure is seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our facilities and lead our team to excellence.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager at Peninsula Leisure, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operation of our two sites, PARC and PINES. You will provide high-level supervision and leadership, ensuring that all programs and services are delivered seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations and GSPO’s.
  • Addressing member and guest needs or concerns to uphold exceptional customer service standards.
  • Overseeing adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Ensuring that staff from all departments uphold high standards of performance and feel supported in their roles.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to ensure staff are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with our service goals.
  • Responding to emergency situations, including managing minor to major injuries, conducting aquatic rescue incidents, and executing full Centre evacuations.

The remuneration for this position is in line with Level 7 of the Fitness Industry Award. $41-$43 per hour (incl. 25-30% casual loading) + 12% super.

What We are Looking For

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead by example and drive performance.
  • Strong knowledge of the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations and plant room operations.
  • A keen focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Resilience and composure under pressure.
  • Expertise in Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety in a Leisure Centre environment.
  • Effective time management and administrative skills.
  • The ability to embody and promote Peninsula Leisure's values.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard Certificate (Victoria)
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
  • Working With Children Check
  • Aquatic Technical Operator Certificate (Desirable)
  • Chief Fire Warden Training (Desirable)
  • HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid (Desirable)
