About the Position

The nib Newcastle Knights are seeking a nurturing individual or couple to become the live-in Boarding House Manager, providing daily care and supervision to up to 10 male athletes aged 16-20.

Based at our elite Knights Boarding House, this role is key to supporting the safety, wellbeing, independence, and growth of young players as they transition into professional sport.

You will help create a structured, safe, respectful, and high-performing home environment aligned with the Club's values. This includes assisting with meal planning, household routines, life skills, transport, and general upkeep of the home.

This is a live-in position with rent-free accommodation and utilities, plus additional employment benefits.

About You

You're a dependable, organised, and caring person (or couple) with the ability to guide young adults in a structured home setting. You are confident setting expectations while offering genuine support, and you thrive in a mentoring role that builds independence and responsibility.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with youth or in a residential care setting.
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and empathetic nature, with a focus on safety, wellbeing and routine.
  • A current driver's licence and ability to supervise transport needs.
  • A valid Working with Children's Check
