ABOUT THE ROLES:

CLUB MANAGER - Cairns

Our Club Managers are an integral part of the overall Delta Sports Leadership team under the guidance of the Club Directors, Operations Team and Founders. The Club Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the venue. 

The Club Manager works closely with the Club Director and develops a group of Team Leaders and coaches who are obsessed with delivering on Delta’s purpose. The Club Manager optimises our Core Values, and uses these values to live by through every aspect of teaching and leading. 

The Club Manager role incorporates coaching on the floor; mentoring coaches/gymnasts on the floor as a staff trainer and looking after a team of coaches, gymnasts & parents. As a member of the Club leadership team you are exposed to the meeting rhythm, all Delta products, policies and systems. Meaningful Measures are provided to help guide your role as a Club Manager.

The full-time role will be across 5 or 6 days and salary loading will be included for Saturday and/or Sunday.

COMPETITIVE COACH - Brisbane Level 3-10 - FIG 2 Requirement

National Club Champion winners for 14 of the past 19 years and Queensland Club Champions for 18 years running, our competitive program has been nurtured with a rising tide lifts all ships mentality.

We’re looking for an experienced WAG Level 3-10 coach who is excited about working closely with Delta’s developing high level athletes on the pathway to becoming State & Australian Team members.

This is a full-time or significant casual position.

The Benefits of Competitive Coach Role:

• Salary package in the range of $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with skill/experience, with budgeted increases as you achieve development plan targets.

• We’ve been National Club Champion winners for 14 of the past 19 years, and 12 of our athletes have represented Australia at international level including Tokyo Olympian and Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, Georgia Godwin.
• Learn from the best - we offer an intensive program of weekly one-on-one mentoring, small group lectures and experiential learning on competition tours. Our senior coaches include Josh Parker, Wendy Gilliver and Lauren Norton who have trained many Level 7-10 national champions and level 4-10 State Champions over the last 15 years.  Josh has worked as Gymnastics Queensland Head Coach for 5 years.  
• Be supported to grow your expertise as a coach and leader - including future opportunities to tour with Delta teams and financial aid to help you to complete the FIG 3 courses if and when applicable.
• Opportunity to attend major ALP competitions, both state and national for which we fully fund.  
• Have fun with our team - our competitive coaching team meets regularly to discuss innovations, our weekly newsletters celebrate achievements, and you’ll enjoy quarterly team celebrations such as Christmas in July, The Great Race, karaoke, firepits and Eat Street dinners. 
• Extra support if you need to relocate – relocation allowance and temporary accommodation is available if you are coming from interstate/overseas.

 ABOUT YOU:- Our ideal candidates will possess the following:

• An alignment with the Delta Core Values
• Tertiary qualification in leadership / management AND / OR experience in a similar role
• The ability to think and act tactically and strategically in relation to scheduling
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A desire and passion to help kids grow up in a nurturing environment with expectation and enthusiasm
• Proven coaching skills with children and adults & strong ‘one on one’ mentoring ability
• The ability to problem solve thinking outside the box
• A sound knowledge & experience using technology (email, google sheets, data base)
• The ability to stay calm and focussed through uncertain, complex, & ambiguous situations
