About the role

Reporting directly to the General Manager - Foundation & Community, this role provides key leadership across the Club’s social impact, community engagement and Foundation programs. You will drive initiatives that strengthen the Club’s presence and impact in the community while supporting fundraising growth and long-term sustainability. You will play a central role in planning, coordinating and delivering programs and events that promote participation, inclusion, wellbeing and connection. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community work, enjoys building relationships and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Foundation and Community initiatives aligned to the Club’s social impact strategy.
  • Manage programs that drive participation, wellbeing, inclusion and community engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners including schools, charities and local organisations.
  • Support the development and delivery of the annual Foundation strategy, objectives and fundraising calendar.
  • Develop and deliver fundraising initiatives, campaigns and donor engagement activities that grow community and corporate support.
  • Coordinate donor stewardship and communications including impact reports, newsletters and acknowledgements.
  • Support sponsorship and grant applications including reporting requirements.
  • Plan and deliver Foundation and Community events including fundraising dinners, game-day activations and community outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Partnerships, Football and People to integrate Foundation and Community priorities across the Club.
  • Engage players, staff and volunteers in community programs and help promote the impact of Foundation initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in business, communications, marketing, community development or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in community program management, fundraising, stakeholder engagement or corporate social responsibility, ideally within sport, not-for-profit or social impact sectors.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality events, activations and campaigns.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent organisational and project management capability with strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence managing budgets, reporting and donor or CRM databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems.
  • A proactive, collaborative and hands-on working style with a genuine passion for community outcomes.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events, activations and game days.
