Aquatic Centres
Bayside Council operates two Aquatic Centres, Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre (Bexley) and Botany Aquatic Centre. Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre was opened in 2016 after undergoing a major redevelopment and Botany Aquatic Centre is currently undergoing redevelopment and is due to open in Summer 2027/28. The Aquatic Centres include both indoor and outdoor pools, grandstand, gym and group fitness spaces, community and retail spaces, kiosk, and aqua play facilities.
About the role
Reporting to the Aquatic Centres Manager, this role leads the customer service and kiosk operations teams to deliver exceptional front-line service, maximise customer satisfaction and retention, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality facility operations across the Aquatic Centres. The role is also responsible for developing staff capability, improving systems and processes, and ensuring alignment with Council’s customer experience values and operational standards.

This position will initially be based at Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre however the successful candidate will be required to oversee the Customer Service across both Aquatic Centres.
You can also expect to:
- Lead and develop Aquatic Centre teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience aligned with Council values.
- Oversee front-of-house operations including admissions, memberships, learn-to-swim enrolments, kiosk operations and presentation standards.
- Implement and monitor customer service systems, processes and operational standards to drive efficiency, consistency and continuous improvement.
- Manage team resourcing, performance, training and development to ensure safe, compliant and customer-focused operations.
- Monitor financial and service performance, including cash handling, point-of-sale systems and revenue from admissions and kiosk sales.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to promote programs, events and customer retention initiatives.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional, timely and solutions-focused manner.
- Prepare service performance reports and contribute to budget planning and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements, including WHS, child safety and food safety.
About you
We are looking for a someone who has:
- Tertiary or other qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. However, commencing and finishing times will be flexible and depend on operational needs.
- Experience in administering aquatic and leisure centre software and systems.
- Experience in staff management including rostering, recruitment, and performance management

Salary range: $104,848 - $117,430 pa + 12% superannuation
