Description

Are you passionate about rugby, love creating buzz online, and thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment? Join one of Australia's most historic and iconic rugby clubs as we gear up for an epic 2026 season!

We're offering two exciting internship positions from March to August 2026, perfect for enthusiastic students or recent grads who want hands-on experience in digital marketing, event coordination, and club operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Digital Marketing: Help grow our social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & more!), create engaging content (posts, stories, reels), capture match-day vibes, run promotions, and get our blue-and-gold community fired up!
  • Event Support: Dive into the heart of club life by assisting with our awesome signature events, including:
    • Ladies Day
    • Pasifika Night
    • Juniors Day
    • Legends Lunch
    • Back to Uni Day
    • Finals Lunch

You'll help with planning, promotion, on-the-day logistics, and making sure everyone has an unforgettable time.

  • Operations & Match-Day Action: Support general club ops, including Saturday game days during the season (think helping with setup, fan engagement, or whatever excitement the day brings!). Expect 1-2 days per week (flexible weekdays) plus Saturdays for home games and key events.

This is your chance to be part of the action at SUFC - Australia's oldest rugby club (est. 1863), with a proud tradition, passionate supporters, and a vibrant community spirit. You'll work alongside friendly players, staff, volunteers, and alumni while building your skills, expanding your network, and soaking up the unbeatable atmosphere at Sydney University Football Ground.

What We're Looking For

  • Energetic, outgoing, and rugby-loving (or at least keen to learn!)
  • Creative with social media and basic content tools (Canva, phone photography/video)
  • Organised, reliable, and happy to roll up your sleeves
  • Available for the March - August period, including most Saturdays during the Shute Shield season
  • Current student or recent graduate preferred (but all keen applicants welcome!)

Perks

  • Real-world experience across marketing, events, and sports operations
  • Free entry to home games & events
  • Networking with rugby legends, players, and the wider Sydney rugby scene
  • A fun, supportive team environment
  • Potential for strong references and future opportunities

If you're ready to jump into the world of community rugby, help create memorable experiences, and be part of something truly special, we'd love to hear from you!
