Waverley Gymnastics Centre (WGC) has a membership base of over 2500 gymnasts and is an industry leader in Recreational, Under 5’s and WAG International streams of gymnastics. Our mission is to enhance lives through gymnastics, by assisting each child to reach their full potential through exceptional coaching and programming in a child-safe, fun and professional environment. ROLE OVERVIEW
WGC is seeking an experienced gymnastics professional to step into a key full-time leadership role delivering world-class recreational gymnastics. This position holds direct responsibility for leading, managing and mentoring our coaching team, while supporting approximately 1,500 gymnasts and their families at our Oakleigh Campus.
This is a senior leadership role with overall accountability for the successful delivery, performance and growth of the recreational gymnastics program at Oakleigh. The successful candidate will demonstrate unwavering standards of service and excellence, and will confidently lead, inspire and develop our coach mentors and coaching team to ensure alignment with WGC’s mission of enhancing lives through gymnastics.
Key delivery days at the Oakleigh Campus are Tuesday to Friday until 8:45pm, and Saturday from 8:15am–3:30pm. Remaining full-time hours will be dedicated to strategic leadership, program planning, coach development, administration, and ongoing program innovation and growth.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
- Current Gymnastics Australia Advanced Module 1 coaching qualification (or willing to obtain).
- Gymnastics Australia CCE Certificate (or willing to obtain.)
- Valid and current Working with Children’s Check.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor, motivate and deliver feedback.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
