About the Role
As the Learn to Swim Development Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational management of our Learn to Swim program. You will lead a team of instructors, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive program growth while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Learn to Swim program
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, sales, and memberships
  • Manage class schedules, school bookings, and program timetables
  • Coordinate and supervise Learn to Swim instructors, including training and development
  • Prepare and manage staff rosters in line with operational needs
  • Monitor staff qualifications, industry compliance, and child safety requirements
  • Ensure all programs are delivered in line with child-safe policies and procedures
  • Handle customer and staff enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
  • Assist with pool deck supervision and instruct classes as required
  • Work collaboratively with marketing to promote programs and increase participation
  • Monitor budgets and ensure financial targets are achieved
  • Oversee equipment ordering and pool program requirements
  • Identify and manage Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) risks

About You

You are a confident leader with excellent organisational and communication skills. You enjoy working with people, especially children and families, and can adapt quickly in a busy environment.

You will bring:

  • Initiative and the ability to think on your feet
  • A strong commitment to customer service and safety
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within the fitness or aquatic industry
    Experience working with children

Essential Qualifications

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current Austswim Accreditation
  • Current Working With Children Check
