AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Cyclo-cross, Esports, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia’s Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth Games and World Tour athletes.

Team Purpose
AusCycling’s Clubs and Community Enhancement Pillar is responsible for building, supporting, and enhancing the capabilities of both the Club Network and associated community organisations. The team also drives high quality experiences for sport participants, administrators, coaches, and officials with the aim of creating a world-class, sustainable national sporting system.
Position Purpose
The Officials Development Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, development and ongoing improvement of the AusCycling officials education and development pathway.
The role supports the delivery of officials education programs across all cycling disciplines, ensuring officials are well trained, supported and recognised throughout their development journey.
The position also oversees professional development opportunities, recertification processes and recognition initiatives to strengthen the retention and capability of the officiating workforce.
Responsibilities
Officials Education Coordination
- Coordinate the delivery of officials education programs across disciplines and accreditation levels.
- Work with presenters, assessors and key stakeholders to schedule and deliver courses nationally.
- Manage course enrolments, logistics and administration in collaboration with the Education & Workforce Development team.
- Monitor course quality and participant feedback to support continuous improvement.
Course & Education Design
- Support the development and review of officials education curriculum, resources and learning materials.
- Contribute to the design of both face-to-face and digital learning components.
- Work with subject matter experts and discipline technical committee to ensure course content remains current and aligned with rules and best practice.
General Enquiries & Stakeholder Support
- Act as the primary contact for officials education enquiries from clubs and individuals.
- Provide guidance on accreditation pathways, education requirements and course access.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to support officials across the pathway.
Officials Professional Development
- Support the design and delivery of ongoing professional development opportunities for officials, including workshops, webinars and event-based learning.
- Coordinate education initiatives connected to major national events and championships.
