We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.
The role
Reporting to the Manager Leisure and Community Facilities, we are seeking a leader who can bring their skills and experience for:
- Developing and implementing sport, recreation and leisure strategies and policies
- Overseeing Community Infrastructure Planning and implementation
- Overseeing the management of Community Facilities use under agreements by the community
- Identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities for a team to lead to better outcomes
- Developing, mentoring and motivating staff
To be considered you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in sport/leisure/ infrastructure management/planning or research and reporting skills combined with several years’ experience in a leadership role relevant to these areas; or
- Extensive and diverse experience in a sport/ leisure/community infrastructure planning and/or related management environment in conjunction with less formal qualifications.
- Local government experience is highly desirable
