Coordinate, support and grow the education of gymnastics coaches and judges across Queensland.

Ready to play a key role in helping gymnastics clubs, coaches and judges thrive?

As Education Coordinator, you’ll be part of Gymnastics Queensland’s Education Team, coordinating the scheduling, administration, communication and delivery of coach and judge education courses across Queensland. You’ll help technical members and clubs access timely, accurate and customer focused support to complete accreditations, engage in education opportunities and build their capability.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of coach and judge education courses across Queensland.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the annual education calendar and scheduling coach and judge education courses across South East Queensland and regional areas.
  • Coordinating Intermediate and Advanced coach education courses across all gymsports.
  • Coordinating Beginner, Intermediate, Intermediate Bronze, Advanced and Advanced Silver judge education courses.
  • Coordinate pre-course and post-course administration, including course details, presenters, venues, resources and candidate information.
  • Supporting course enrolments, course viability, presenter availability and budget expectations.
  • Leading the planning and coordination of Education Week, including scheduling, stakeholder communication and onsite support.
  • Preparing and distributing the fortnightly Education Update to clubs and technical members.
  • Responding to education enquiries via phone and email with accurate, timely and customer-focused support.
  • Coordinating coach and judge re-sits, exemptions and current competency assessments.
  • Completing the annual Technical Membership Review for member clubs, including compliance checks and communication with clubs and individuals.
  • Attending assigned Sports Management Committee meetings to support education planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identifying improvements to education administration, communication and delivery processes.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll bring:

  • Strong administration skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer focused and solutions focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence working with clubs, coaches, judges, presenters, volunteers and community stakeholders.
  • Experience or knowledge of sport accreditation and education pathways.
  • Experience in education administration, course coordination or event scheduling.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • A willingness to identify and implement process improvements.
  • A genuine interest in gymnastics and all gymsports.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in sport, business, education or a related area.
  • A coach or official’s accreditation in gymnastics or another sport.
  • Experience working in a state or national sporting organisation.
  • Experience supporting volunteers, technical members or club-based stakeholders.

Location and Hours

This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week, based at Gymnastics Queensland’s State Office at the Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler. Free onsite parking is available, and work-from-home arrangements may be considered with manager approval.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday, however some weekend work and travel may be required from time to time to support courses, workshops and key education activities.

Mandatory Requirements

The successful applicant must:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Queensland Working with Children Check / Blue Card.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle.
  • Be able to travel to relevant stakeholders, courses and workshops when required.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience. Applicants are encouraged to outline their remuneration expectations when applying.
