The Pathways High Performance Manager is tasked with embedding the whole club’s high-performance philosophies and systems that assists with repeatable on field success, injury prevention and long-term athletic development within all levels of our pathway programs. The program has a strong focus on consistent successful graduation of players developing internally through all aspects of high performance before entering our NRL program.

The Pathways High Performance Manager provides strong leadership and direction, focused within our performance department across all our pathway programs and plays an important role in the development and achievement of the Club’s vision, values and performance objectives.

High-Performance Program Development:

  • Work in partnership with club’s Head of Elite Pathways & Player Development to devise and implement a holistic football program across the whole EPPD program.
  • Strategic management (including all related staff) of the strength, conditioning, nutrition, and recovery programs to maximise performance of all teams associated to the whole EPPD program.
  • Implement and manage load monitoring, fitness testing and training protocols (in clear alignment with NRL performance program).
  • Design and coordination of the whole EPPD program weekly training structure and Football Department training calendar to maximise performances of all associated teams.
  • Direct management of all staff and resources allocated to the high-performance department for all programs and projects associated to the whole EPPD program and reporting on their progress and delivery against agreed performance targets.
  • Design, implement, and continually refine the club's pathways high-performance program in alignment with the club's overall strategic objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive training and development plans tailored to the specific needs and developmental stages of athletes within the pathways program.

Player Development and Progression:

  • Provide individualised support and guidance to athletes within the pathways program to maximise their potential for progression to higher levels of competition.
  • Implement performance monitoring and assessment protocols to track the development of athletes and identify areas for improvement.

Sports Science and Athlete Wellbeing:

  • Work closely with sports science and medical staff to develop evidence-based training and recovery protocols aimed at optimizing athlete performance and minimizing the risk of injury.
  • Monitor the physical and psychological wellbeing of athletes within the pathways program and provide appropriate support and interventions as needed.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of coaches, support staff, and volunteers involved in the delivery of the pathways high-performance program.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that prioritises the development and welfare of young athletes.

Strategic Planning and Reporting:

  • Contribute to the development of the club's long-term strategic plans for talent development and pathway progression.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management outlining the progress and achievements of athletes within the pathways program.
