Tara Anglican School for Girls is seeking a highly capable Sports Coordinator to support the Head of Sport in the delivery of our extensive and vibrant co-curricular sports program, while taking primary responsibility for the leadership and coordination of the School's rowing program.
This is a pivotal role that combines administration, logistics, program management and relationship building to ensure the smooth operation of our sports and rowing programs. Working closely with the Head of Sport, coaches, students, staff and families, you will play an integral role in creating outstanding sporting experiences for our girls and driving the continued success of rowing at Tara.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head of Sport with the day-to-day administration of the School's sports program
- Leading the coordination and ongoing development of Tara's rowing program
- Managing relationships with rowing coaches, athletes, parents, rowing associations and key stakeholders
- Overseeing rowing training schedules, regatta entries, transport, equipment and logistics
- Coordinating fixtures, carnivals, competitions and sporting events across the broader sports program
- Managing communications with students, parents, coaches and sporting associations
- Maintaining accurate records, schedules and sports-related databases
- Assisting with team nominations, transport, venues and operational logistics
- Contributing to the ongoing success and growth of girls' sport at Tara
About You
- Demonstrated experience and involvement in rowing, either through coaching, administration, competition or program management
- A strong understanding of school, club or representative rowing environments
- Passionate about developing student-athletes and fostering participation, excellence and enjoyment in rowing
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong administrative and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to supporting student wellbeing and achievement through sport
