From our home on Hobsons Bay in Williamstown we run keelboat and off-the-beach racing, regattas, junior and adult training programs, a marina and yard, and a busy Members’ clubhouse. Our mission is to grow participation in sailing, deliver high-quality services to our Members and foster a welcoming, inclusive and diverse club culture.

About the Role

  • Keep all sailing activity safe and compliant, including child safety
  • Manage sailing assets
  • Report to the General Manager and support the sailing committees

About You

You are someone who brings enthusiasm, reliability and a love of the sailing environment.

  • Experience running racing, regattas or sailing programs
  • Knowledge of the Racing Rules of Sailing and on-water safety
  • Proven ability to lead staff and motivate volunteers
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and a clear communicator
  • Happy to work regular weekends, evenings and public holidays with periodic outdoor work

You'll need

  • Australian Sailing Race Officer accreditation at Regional level or higher (or the ability to gain it within 12 months)
  • Victorian marine licence, current first aid certificate and driver’s licence
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain them before you start

What We Offer

  • Competitive industry salary and benefits
  • A varied role with real ownership at an iconic club
  • A supportive team with professional development opportunities
  • A magnificent waterfront workplace in Williamstown

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
