ABOUT THE POSITION
Matthew Flinders Anglican College is seeking to appoint an experienced Director of Volleyball to lead our College volleyball program in 2025. We are seeking a dynamic individual to take ownership of the volleyball program, nurturing talent while maintaining a strong culture within the College and broader community.
This is a part-time (0.25 FTE) acting position for the duration of 2025, covering a period of parental leave.
As the acting Director of Volleyball, you will have overall responsibility for both the leadership and operational management of the College’s Volleyball program in 2025. You will lead a team of coaches, providing mentorship and guidance while fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic leader with experience supporting volleyball programs, ideally within a school or youth environment. You should have a solid understanding of player development pathways and a passion for fostering positive experiences for students. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the volleyball program, including scheduling, logistics, and resource coordination. You are a strong communicator, skilled at engaging with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders to build positive relationships and encourage collaboration. A commitment to student wellbeing is essential, as you will integrate the volleyball program with the College’s broader initiatives for mental and physical health. Required qualifications include a Volleyball Coaching Accreditation (Level 2 or above), a valid Working with Children Check (Qld Blue Card), and current First Aid certification.
