The role
Our Sports Venues Team is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Aquatics Programs Coordinator to join at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre!
In this integral role, you’ll assist in coordinating and administering a variety of programs, including holiday programs, schools, birthday parties, squads, and swim school.
Your role will involve supporting aquatic programs supervisors, managing admin tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of aquatic programs. You’ll work collaboratively with our team, handle customer interactions both face-to-face and over the phone, and be the go-to person for staff and stakeholder engagement.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to plan, develop and coordinate a wide range of aquatic programs.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with teaching and providing instructions.
- Experience in using Bookings/Point of Sale software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge and commitment to the principles of Workplace Health and Safety
- Skills in engaging with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of aquatic programs.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and other stakeholders, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Solid time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to contribute to group efforts and support colleagues in achieving objectives
- High level administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
What is an essential requirement:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in recreation or aquatic industry.
- Current swimming teacher license (Austswim, Royal Life Saving or Swim Australia Certificate)
- Current CPR/Resuscitation Certificate
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
