The High-Performance Coach Advisor role at the QAS involves co-designing and delivering coaching programs to identify and develop current and future highperforming coaches across various pathways. The position focuses on fostering excellence in coaching by providing strategic advice, leveraging sector trends, research, and performance insights, and building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including coaches, QAS leaders, sporting organisations, and industry partners.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide high-level, evidence-informed advice to the Executive Director Talent & Coaching and QAS management on the design, delivery and continuous improvement of the coach development strategy.
- Build and sustain trusted, influential relationships with coaches, QAS leaders, State and National Sporting Organisations, AIS, academia and industry partners to enable alignment, collaboration and shared outcomes across the Australian high performance system.
- Lead the design, coordination and delivery of a structured, cohort-based learning curriculum and development experiences that respond to identified needs across emerging, developing and high-performance coaches.
- Oversee the design and delivery of flagship coach development initiatives, including the QAS Generation 2032 Para Scholarship Coach Program, working collaboratively with AIS and QAS Coach Leads to accelerate the development of future Paralympic coaches.
- Develop and maintain accurate coach data and insights, including active and emerging coach cohorts, to inform targeted development opportunities, workforce planning and strategic decision-making.
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to future direct reports, including setting clear priorities, aligning work plans to strategic objectives and supporting professional growth.
