Swimming Centre Manager

About the role…
Reporting to the Manager City Operations & Procurement, the Swimming Centre Manager is responsible for leading the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the Murray Bridge Swimming Centre while delivering outstanding customer experiences and community outcomes. The role provides leadership to a diverse team including administration, lifeguard and kiosk staff and oversees all aspects of facility operations, programming, financial management and stakeholder engagement.
Importantly, this role presents an exciting opportunity to grow the Swimming Centre as a business. Council is looking for a forward-thinking leader who can identify new opportunities to increase participation, expand programs and events, develop partnerships and maximise the value the Centre delivers to the Murray Bridge community. This is a chance to think beyond day-to-day operations and help shape the long-term future of a key community facility.
What you will do…
- Lead the day-to-day and seasonal operation of the Swimming Centre.
- Drive community participation through innovative programs, events and promotions.
- Identify and implement new opportunities that will enhance community value and commercial performance of the facility.
- Lead, develop and support a customer-focused team.
- Oversee budgets, operational planning and financial performance.
- Build strong relationships with schools, sporting clubs, community groups and other stakeholders.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across the facility,

- Experience managing a public aquatic, recreation or community facility.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and inspire teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of identifying growth and improvement opportunities.
- Experience managing budgets, operational performance and customer service outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements of operating a community facility that delivers services to children.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
