The Townsville Blackhawks Rugby League Club are seeking a dedicated Wellbeing and Safety Manager to enhance the holistic development and welfare of players and staff. This role is integral to promoting optimal mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing within our club. By providing support, guidance, and resources, the Wellbeing Manager will foster an environment conducive to both professional growth and personal health. This is a full-time role with flexibility for evening and weekend work, including match days.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Sports Science, Counselling, or related fields.
Certificate iv in Elite Athlete Wellbeing or willing to obtain
Experience in a wellbeing or player development role in a professional sports context.
Knowledge of mental health principles, sports psychology, and athlete welfare practices.
Proven ability to build rapport and trust with athletes in high-performance settings.
Blue Card or ability to obtain.
Desirable:
Experience within rugby league or a high-performance sports context.
Familiarity with athlete career transition and development programs.
Knowledge of QRL, NRL, and RLPA wellbeing and safeguarding guidelines.
Ability to deliver education programs to large groups.
